Should We Abandon Louisiana? In Some Ways, We Already Have Review

This article is about how Louisiana's tragedies don't get enough attention. It says how other parts of the country don't pay attention to flooding here because they expect us to flood. Yes we are on the coast, but that doesn't mean that we are okay with flooding. We aren't just used to flooding. It also said that when Katrina and the flood happened the rest of the country didn't want to rebuild. They just wanted to bulldoze. They thought that because the city was corrupt.

I agree with this article. All other natural disasters are on the news all the time, but the flood wasn't. So many people lost their houses and everything they had. When the article said that people that were in flood zones during Hurricane Sandy and got flooded they got a lot of attention, it brought up a very good point. People expect us to flood, but houses that weren't in the flood zone were flooded too. One thing I did disagree with was how they said Katrina didn't get attention. Yes the other parts of the country may have wanted to bulldoze, which is terrible, but it did make it to the new. We did get help and I think people did realize how bad the damage was. I do think we could have gotten more help though.

  1. I agree that Louisiana's tragedies didn't get enough attention. I can't believe they just wanted to bulldoze everthing, that's crazy.

  2. I liked how you said what you agree and disagree with in that article. I definitely think that this flood did not get enough attention. It was called The Great Flood of 2016 for a reason: it was a disaster. Despite the fact that the flood didn't get a lot of attention, we did get a lot of help! I liked how the community came together as 1 to help out.
