The article I chose was about Trump's wall. It was written by Tal Kopan. He writes that Trump asks government for one billion dollars for only sixty two miles. The article advances with where the wall will be put up and that some of the money will be used to repair fences that are already there. Kopan describes that Trumps sees a large concrete wall around the border. Kopan then goes on to say other's opinions like Homeland Security Secretary, John Kelly. He says that he would like it to stay a fences because it is easier for the security to come in and out. He also thinks that the wall would be a waste of time.
After hearing this article's views, I think that Trump should not build the wall, but improve the fences. The wall would be asking for billions of dollars and would take a long time to build. I read another article a the wall and it said that the fences are mostly working now. I know that that is not true for all places, but it the government improves on the places that need work, it could save a lot of money and time.

ReplyDeleteI agree that it should be a fence and not a wall because that would be too difficult. I liked your last point stating how if the government works on the places that need improvement, then it could save them money. I also like how you were not bias in this post.
